Note from your teacher
Hola familias,
The end of the year is fast approaching and we have started the last units in Spanish for this year!
- In kindergarten, we are finishing Unit 3 about the clothing and we are starting Unit 4 about the family.
- In first grade, we are finishing Unit 2 about hobbies and we are are starting Unit 3 about community and community helpers.
- In second grade, we are finishing Unit 2 about my life at home and soon we are starting Unit 3 about the rainforest.
- In third grade, we are finishing a mini-Unit about the alphabet.
- In fourth grade, we are finishing Unit 3 about hispanic houses around the world.
- In fifth grade, we are in Unit 2 about health.
*For families of students in 5th grade, take a moment to review some IMPORTANT language choice information right at the bottom, including the FORM to choose a language. The links have information about the language choices students have when they enter 6th grade. We presented this information in class, but it is important for families to review it and fill out the form as soon as possible.
We look forward to continue learning and practicing Spanish with your child(ren) as we approach the last weeks of this school year!

Quinto grado/Fifth grade
1. Practice acting healthy habits with your family and guessing what is the habit and say how often you do the activity.
2. Watch this video about foods and repeat the words.
3. Do a healthy foods shopping list with your family in Spanish and use it in this dialog.
4. Take a movement break with this movement break.
5. Listen to this video , make a list of healthy habits and write in Spanish how often you do the habits. For example, " nunca hago yoga; siempre como vegetales..."
6. Practice describing items in your house using circumlocution skills to describe them.
