Popcorn Fundraiser begins!

MMK8 Booster Popcorn Fundraiser kicks off today!!! The fundraiser runs September 3 - September 23. All popcorn is made in Arizona and sold for $10 a bag. Popcorn will be delivered to the students October 2 & 3.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to the MMK8 Booster Club to fund activities such as the upcoming Fall Festival, classroom playground equipment, field trips, and more!

Please utilize the name cards for your child, this will help us quickly identify which student you are here to pick up. If you need another name card, please let us know.

• General Dentistry 4 Kids will be visiting Morgan Maxwell on Tuesday September 3rd. They will be providing dental cleanings during the school day for those students who have signed up. If you have signed up and are enrolled you will receive a message from General Dentistry 4 Kids to notify you of their upcoming appointment and then will receive a note after their visit as well.

• Sign up forms should be coming home with your students this weekend if you would like to sign up for their next visit.

• Our Annual Hearing and Vision Screening is going to take place Thursday October 17th. We are required by the state to screen all students in Preschool, Kinder, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, all student in exceptional education, and all students new to TUSD. It is always the Maxwell Health Offices goal to screen all students if we can so that all students have a current hearing and vision screening each year!

• If you would not like your child to participate in the hearing and vision screening, please submit a hand written note that we can put on file for your child and we will exempt them from the screening.

CELL PHONE/Electronics POLICY

Cell phones/Air pods must be off during school hours, 8:05 am - 3:00 pm.

If they are confiscated because of use during school hours:

1st Quarter:

Cell phones/Air pods will be returned at the end of the day to students.

2nd Quarter - End of Year:

Each time a cell phone/air pods are confiscated; parents will be notified and will have to come to the office to pick up the items.
