Welcome to fall and the change of seasons. As we transition into the first full month of school, the WVVA team has much to share with families about opportunities and experiences for your students. Please take a moment to peruse this month's newsletter for more information about WVVA.

WVVA will be offering the PSAT this October! This important test not only provides valuable practice for the SAT, but it also opens the door to the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program. Imagine the possibilities—your student could be recognized on a national level and earn scholarships that pave the way for their future success!

• Test Date: Saturday October 26, 2024
• Cost: FREE! There is no charge for families.
• Location: Testing will take place at centrally located sites to ensure accessibility for all our students.

We are currently gauging interest in this opportunity. If your student is interested in taking the PSAT, please complete this survey by September 20, 2024.

WVVA is very excited to kick off enrollment for our clubs. Below you will find the registration forms for our clubs. There will be two different forms: an elementary and secondary. Please make sure your student selects the correct grade level registration link to fill out their request.

This year we are running clubs a little differently. Due to the high interest demand, we are allowing students to sign up for a maximum of two clubs. Clubs will also have registration caps, so please make sure to fill out the registration form as soon as possible. Clubs will be offered on a first come first serve basis.

All registration submissions requires students to upload a signed permission slip. Please print out the Permission Slip PDF, fill out the necessary information, and sign the form. You will then take a screenshot or scan the completed document and upload it to the registration form.

Permission slips are required and registration forms will be incomplete without it.. If you have any questions regarding clubs, please contact Mrs. Drobish at ndrobish@westvaacademy.org. The official club kickoff will be the week of October 7th.
