I hope this message finds you well-rested and rejuvenated after a delightful spring break! As we delve into the final stretch of the school year, it's remarkable how swiftly time has passed.

April heralds a bustling month ahead, brimming with activities and important events. Please take a moment to peruse through our newsletter in its entirety to stay informed.

🚨MIDDLE SCHOOL ILEARN TEST: Our students in grades seven and eight, along with high school Biology students, will take the ILEARN test this April. It's imperative to note the significance of attendance on state-mandated testing dates. If possible, please do not schedule any appointments or have students miss on testing dates. Thank you!🚨

Attendance during testing days is crucial for optimal performance. We have been and will continue to provide detailed correspondence regarding testing dates, times, and necessary materials.

In addition to academic endeavors, we have a lineup of engaging events scheduled for this month! The Athletic Department invites you to join us for Trivia Night on April 5th, followed by the much-anticipated Prom on April 13th. Furthermore, our seniors are encouraged to mark their calendars for the senior class photo on April 23rd. For further details, students should consult Mrs. Biancardi and check their email and Google Classroom.

Let's encourage our students to give their personal best in these final nine weeks. We commend everyone for their dedication and hard work throughout this academic year.

On Monday, April 8, all students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. This was a scheduled early release day on the 2023-2024 calendar.

All students in seventh and eighth grade will be taking the ILEARN test 📝 on April 16, 18, 23, and 25. It is essential that all students are in attendance during these two weeks. 🏫 Students should bring their chromebook 💻 fully charged every day for testing purposes. More information will be sent home to middle school families. Good luck to all of our students! 🎉 We know they will do their personal best!

All Biology students will take the Biology ILEARN test on April 29, into May. More information will be sent home.

The National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society Ceremony will be on April 29. The NJHS Ceremony begins at 5 p.m. in the upstairs gymnasium, followed by the National Honor Society Ceremony at 6 p.m. We look forward to honoring our new inductees!

Our After School Assistance Program (ASAP) is every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45 p.m.-3:45 p.m. Students in middle school may be assigned to attend through the HAWKS program and all students in grades 7-12 may attend voluntarily or by parent requirement. Students will receive one hour of additional academic support from a teacher at each session. A schedule of what teachers will be hosting the sessions for the month of April is posted on the TV in the entryway and sent home to middle school families via HAWKS email. It is also posted below. Transportation is not provided. Students must stay the entire hour and should be picked up promptly at 3:45 p.m. outside Door #3.

Math tutoring is available for all students in grades 7-12 every Monday and Wednesday until 4 p.m. in Miss Quinn's room, room #9. Students who are struggling and may need additional academic support in math are highly encouraged to attend! You can email Miss Quinn at jquinn@westville.k12.in.us for more information. You do not have to sign up to attend. Walk-ins are welcome!

Healthy and low cost breakfast is available daily at school ($1.50). Online payments can also be made to students' accounts through mymealtime.com.
