Special Edition
Welcome to Academic Year, 2024-2025
The teachers are arriving and setting up classrooms, new staff are 'in training,' the wonderful custodial staff have deep-cleaned the entire building, and educational materials have arrived. Now, we need the awesome children! We eagerly await the start of school during the week of August 19th.
On behalf of the entire certified and classified staff, I welcome you to another great year of learning and partnership. I am also excited to share with you our latest additions to the staff. Please welcome the following educators:
- Ms. Alison Letbetter, School Counselor
- Ms. Kayla Boros, Speech & Language Therapist
- Ms. Kelly Bartlett, Intervention Specialist (transferred from Lee Eaton)
Mr. Kyle Cohen resigned from his teaching position in July to accept an Assistant Principal position with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. We wish him all the best. No teacher was hired to replace him at this time. NF also wishes both Mrs. Debbie Becker and Mrs. Glenda Coleman on their recent decision to resign so that they can make memories with the birth of their recent grandchildren. We will miss them greatly!
Greet, Meet & Supply Drop-Off Scheduled for Friday!
Students in grades 1 - 4 are invited to attend the annual "Greet, Meet & Supply Drop-Off" program, scheduled for Friday, August 16th from 5 - 7 p.m. Kindergarten students will have attended an orientation program earlier that week. Families are encouraged to drop by anytime during the two hour schedule. There are no formal presentations; however, there are many stations to visit to make sure all of your beginning of the year preparations are completed. Remember, parking at NF is always complicated for public events. Parking overflow can occur at Luna's Restaurant, the CVS parking area nearest to the school, and the library. Please do not park in front of the businesses directly across from the school. Thanks for your cooperation.
"Staggered Start" Ensures Smooth Transition
The district calendar is linked below and also available on the district website. Please note that students in grades 1 - 4 are on a staggered, two-day start.
