Intensive Learning Center Teachers Enhance Skills at CABE Summer Dual Language Institute
In a testament to their commitment to professional growth and student success, teachers from Intensive Learning Center (ILC) at BUSD dedicated part of their Summer break to furthering their expertise at CABE (California Association for Bilingual Education) Summer Dual Language Institute.
Over the course of three days, these devoted educators immersed themselves in a series of workshops and training sessions aimed at equipping them with advanced insights and strategies to foster biliteracy and oral language development among students in the district.
By actively engaging in this enriching professional development opportunity, ILC teachers have shown their unwavering dedication to ensuring the academic success and linguistic proficiency of all students under their care.
As the new school year approaches, the enthusiasm of our ILC teachers are sure to have a positive impact on the learning experiences of BUSD students.
CalAPS Tiny Home Students at Mayfair High School Complete Tiny Home
In a remarkable display of teamwork and dedication, the students of CalAPS at Mayfair High School have successfully constructed a tiny home in just 20 days for the benefit of Mayfair's Special Education Department. This incredible achievement is a testament to the hard work and creativity of our talented students, as well as the support and guidance provided by our dedicated instructors and staff.
The completion of this tiny home would not have been possible without the collaboration of our amazing instructors, the CalAPS staff, and our partners at Harbor Freight. The tiny home will serve as a valuable resource for the Special Education Department, providing a unique and functional space for learning and growth.
