Message From Mrs. Sherrard
Hello!
My name is Mrs. Sherrard (students are known to call me Coach Sherrard), and I am excited to be your 6th grade school counselor!
Professionally, this is my 9th year being at Georgia Cyber Academy. Before embarking on this new journey as a school counselor, I served as a Health and Physical Education teacher for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades here at GCA. In addition, I have taught Health and Physical Education at the high school level at GCA, as well as middle school grades at a brick-and-mortar school in Spalding County. I graduated from University of North Georgia with a B. S. in Health and Physical Education and received my M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama.
I became a school counselor because I have always had a deep passion for supporting students in their emotional, social, and academic growth. I look forward to working with you this semester! The Middle School Counseling Department has a lot of things planned for you this year and we are looking forward to a great rest of the 2024-2025 school year.

Grades 6-8 Important Message from Principal Wilkerson, Esports, and Copyright & Piracy Training
Exciting news! Next semester, we will launch our first official middle school esports team. The games we compete with and will hold tryouts for are Super Smash Brothers and Rocket League (3v3).
This is not considered a club as we will compete with schools nationwide! This is the school's official Middle School team tryout. Matthew Yozgatlioglu (Coach Y) (myozgatlioglu@georgiacyber.org) will be the contact person for this but please hold all questions for now.
Stay tuned for more details on how to sign up and what you need to prepare as we get closer to that time. Get some practice and rank as high as you can in both games! We can't wait to see you compete!
Best,
Esports

We use a variety of differentiated interventions to ensure each student receives equitable services.
