**New Visitor System**
Raptor Visitor Management System
Nashoba Regional School District is pleased to announce that we will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System in all of our schools to strengthen our program of campus safety for students and faculty. Part of keeping students and faculty safe is knowing who is in our buildings at all times, and the Raptor system will allow us to do that. The Raptor system will better allow us to screen visitors, contractors, and volunteers in our schools and provide us with a safer environment for our students and staff.
The Raptor System also allows for accountability of all visitors in the building in the event of an emergency. Upon entering a district building, visitors will be asked to present an US government-issued ID, such as a Driver’s License, U.S. Passport, or U.S. Military ID which can either be scanned or manually entered into the system. The Raptor system will check to ensure that registered sexual offenders are not entering our school campuses without our knowledge. The Raptor system checks the visitor's name and date of birth for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders. The registered sex offender database is the only official database checked by the Raptor system. No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded and the information is not shared with any outside agency. Once entry is approved, Raptor will issue a badge that identifies the visitor, the date, and the purpose of his/her visit. A visitor’s badge will not be necessary for those who visit our schools simply to drop off an item in the office or pick up paperwork.
The safety of our students is our highest priority and the Raptor visitor management system allows us to quickly identify those that may present a danger to our students. Thank you in advance for your understanding and your support in enhancing the school safety protocols in our district.

Morning Drop-Off and Afternoon Parent Pick-Up Information
As the new year starts, we wanted to send out this reminder about the drop off and pick up procedures. A summary of the most important information related to these procedures is listed below.
Student Arrival (Drop Off)
No early drop off will be permitted - drop off begins at 8:25 AM.
Parent drop off for arrival will occur in the usual location at the front of the building.
Parents are expected to pull their cars up as far as they can along the sidewalk in the drop off area to allow for as many as 8 cars in the area at one time
Students will exit their cars independently and proceed onto the sidewalk and into the building. Parents should remain in their car. Any parent needing to step out of the car to assist their children should plan to park on the basketball court or in a parking space in front of the school and walk their child to the front of the building.
Parents will then exit by making a left at the end of the peninsula and through the parking lot just as they have done in the past.
As you drive around the back of the building please be aware some middle school classes might be transitioning and utilizing outdoor space and we ask you to proceed cautiously.
Student Dismissal (Pick up)
Parents should not arrive to pick up students before 2:50. This will prevent interference with LBMS pick up procedures
Students will gather in the gym.
Students will be dismissed from the gymnasium through the exterior door near the kindergarten playground.
As you loop around the school, please pull up to the farthest cone you are able and wait for your child or children to be sent out.
If possible, please place a sign on your dashboard with your family name.
Staff will be on hand to assist you and call via walkie-talkie for your children. Upon exiting the building, students will be sent to one of several different colored cones to meet you and enter your car.
The picture below shows the route around the building to drive. The blue line indicates where morning drop off will occur. The afternoon pick up will be at the end of the red line on the side of the building.
Our goal, as always, is to transition students safely into and out from the building as safely and efficiently as possible. Thank you for your assistance.
Reporting a Student Absent or Tardy
To report a student absent or tardy, please send one email and include both the teacher and MREattendance@nrsd.net. Both the office and Nurse Lyndsey view messages for
It's crucial for us to be informed whether your child will arrive late or be absent. If we don't receive any communication from you, we may need to reach out to both you and your emergency contacts. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of your child.
Dismissal Changes & Extended Learning
Ensuring a smooth dismissal process for your child requires your cooperation in sharing their regular dismissal plans with the teacher and office. This information is vital for us to execute your intended dismissal arrangements effectively and maintain an orderly process.
To facilitate a seamless adjustment to the days plan, please email your child's teacher and also copy MREattendance@nrsd.net before 8:30 am on the school day. While teachers and staff might not always have the chance to check emails throughout the day, notifying us early helps us accommodate changes without disrupting the learning environment. Remember, whenever a change is made, it necessitates a call to the classroom, which can interrupt ongoing lessons. For emergency changes on the same day, please contact the office no later than 2:30 pm.
Regarding Extended Day Dismissal, we kindly request that you keep both the teacher and the Extended Learning Team informed. An ideal way to do this is by sending a single email addressed to both the Extended Learning Team and MREattendance@nrsd.net.
Maintaining consistent routines is essential for our students, as it contributes to a smooth and organized dismissal process. Your cooperation and proactive communication greatly assist us in achieving this goal.
A Change in Dismissal Form is provided below, should you wish to handwrite a note.
