Wisconsin Army Cadets
OPEN HOUSE: MARCH 16! 9:00am- 12:00 PM FREE EVENT!
Who is this program for? Youth ages 13-20 who like high adventure; are thinking about the military, but not sure what it would be like; want to develop self-confidence, leadership, teamwork and communication skills; or are just looking for something different and challenging.
What is the Wisconsin Army Cadets? The Wisconsin Army Cadets is a career exploration program for young men and women ages 13-20 years old. We currently have Cadets from various cities across the state of Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide military career exploration and leadership opportunities to motivated youth. We provide an opportunity for youth to get a feel for what it might be like to join the military without actually enlisting and to be a part of something bigger than themselves. We are not a disciplinary program for troubled youth. Upon joining the program, a Recruit is expected to attend monthly weekend drills. After completing a challenging Basic Cadet Training, a Recruit earns the title of Cadet, the right to wear the modified Army uniform, excel through the ranks, and hold leadership positions.
Approximately 30% of our Cadets have gone on to join the US Armed Forces. But even for those who do not have military career ambitions, this program helps youth mature into confident, responsible young adults.
