Wauwatosa Montessori School
April 29, 2022
Dear Families:
Next week is Screen Free Week. If your child(ren) and family are interested in learning more about it and taking the pledge, you can do so here: Screen Free Week. The emphasis is on not being 100% screen free, but rather understanding necessary screen time (for work/jobs, school, communication) vs. unnecessary screen time (gaming, watching TV, etc) and using screen free week to evaluate the unnecessary or choice screen time and exploring alternative activities to do during that time. In partnership with this, we will revisit prior learning from this year around screen time, balancing our use of devices, and the importance of sleep in our community meeting time next week.
The cast of Whitman Middle School & Montessori's Shrek Jr. provided our students and staff with a brief "sneak peek" performance this week. They are well on their way to an excellent production. If you're interested in seeing the full musical, their performances are all at Wauwatosa West High School on:
Thursday May 12 @ 7pm
Friday May 13 @ 7pm
Saturday May 14 @ 2pm
Phy. Ed Class Reminder: Upper Elementary and Adolescent start the Rollerblade Unit on Monday (May 2nd). We will be skating in class the whole month of May during our Monday-Wednesday of classes. If you are not using our district equipment, please remember to bring your ow equipment (Helmet, Wrist guards, and Skates).
As always, please reach out with any questions!
Sincerely,
Ms.Imperiale
Principal
