It's nearly time for our 8th graders Costa Rica adventure!
Please join us this Tuesday, March 12th at 5:00 pm in room 28 where we will cover the itinerary in detail and answer questions.

Tuesday & Wednesday- Trimester 2 Awards Ceremonies
On March 12th & 13th we will be having our Trimester 2 Awards Ceremonies! The Award Ceremonies will be done by grade level so please make sure to check your Wolves grade level for their scheduled time. As a reminder, if your Wolf is receiving an award your Wolf's teacher should have notified you directly and you should have also received a hard copy letter when report cards went home.

The basketball team will play on Thursday, March 14th @ Woodcrest.
Boys team will play at 4:15 pm
Girls team will play at 5:30 pm
Friday- ASA Fontana's Winter Festival
We are excited to have so many sports and clubs this year for students! These extracurricular activities offer students a chance to thrive, learn, and grow, while also emphasizing the importance of regular school attendance. Please note that in order to participate in any competition after school students must be present during the regular school day.

Congratulations to the Odyssey of the Mind teams!
All teams received medals.
Our two primary teams received near-perfect scores.
Our Division I (grades 3-5) placed 1st place and our Division II (grades (4-8) also placed 1st!
These two teams will move on to the State Competition on March 16th!
Photography
Photography will begin on Monday, March 11th for students who have signed up to participate.
Basketball
Boys team will play at 4:15 pm
Girls team will play at 5:30 pm
Science Olympiad
Science Olympiad will compete on March 16th at Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga. Students participating will check in at 7:30 a.m.

Track- Grades 1-3 & 4-8
Track will practice on Mondays for grades 4-8 and Tuesdays for Grades 1-3.
Co-ED Basketball
Co-ed Basketball is open to all students in grades 5 & 6. Tryouts will be on Monday, March 18th from 3:05-4:05. For those who make the team, practices will be on Tuesday/Thursday and will continue weekly until the end of April. Here is the link to the interest form.
Waivers can be picked up in the front office for those interested in trying out.
Robotics
Robotics will be cancelled on March 14th and March 18th.
Number Ninjas
Number Ninjas will be canceled on March 14th and March 18th.
Creative Minds
Creative Minds will be cancelled on March 19th.

Counseling Connection
As our ASA Counseling Program grows we want to share with our families what we are learning and focusing on as a school in the socio-emotional realm. Each week will feature the school wide Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skill, a breathing strategy, and grade level lesson topics.

Tissues Needed
As flu season approaches, we are asking our wonderful ASA families for tissue donations. Families can drop off their donations at the front office and/or send them with their student to the classroom.
Please make sure that the tissues do not have any added lotions or scents.

ASA Needs Your Dress Code Items!
If your Wolf has outgrown any of their Dress Code items, our front office will gladly take them! Please make sure that the dress code items are free of any tears or stains and have been washed.
We will take any and all sizes!

Special Note: The office door is locked for everyone's safety. Please knock when you arrive. If we don't answer right away, it is because we are on the phone. We appreciate your patience.
- It is difficult for us to locate students during recess and lunchtime, so please refrain from picking them up during these hours. See the ASA Bell Schedule HERE.

Parent/ Guardian ID Checks
As a reminder to all parents/ guardians, when you are picking up your wolf early please bring your ID. As a safety protocol, we must check an ID prior to releasing any student to ensure that whoever is picking them up is listed as an emergency contact.

Dear ASA families,
Complete the Meal Application to assist with maximizing LCFF funding. A portion of every school’s funding and other resources are determined by certain characteristics of its students, one of which is need. To assist in demonstrating that need, all families at ASA are requested to submit a completed Income Survey Form, to be made available on our site.
By completing the form, you will help our school reach the goal of maximizing funding to support our students’ academic successes and creating equitable learning environments. If you have any questions regarding this information or about the school meal program, contact Food Services via phone or email.
For the 2023-2024 school year, meals will be served at no cost to the students regardless of their eligibility
