DCP-REDFORD PARENT NEWSLETTER
August 26th, 2024
“Today’s accomplishments were yesterday’s impossibilities.” — Robert Schuller
A Word from Our Principal
Greetings DCP-Redford Friends, Family and Scholars!
Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We are entering our second week of school and we want to make sure that all of our scholars are off to a great start.
Just a friendly reminder to make sure that all scholars are in attendance each and everyday and on time. Scholars will begin testing soon and this is important for testing, so that attendance does not affect testing.
Thanks to those parents who have made improvements on attendance for their child(ren) this year. Did you know that a scholar with 2 absences per month for 9 months means that the scholar will lose 10% of their learning simply by not being present? By getting your scholar to school daily, you help make education a priority. Scholars with good attendance can earn prizes and attend special events and trips. We cannot teach them if they are not here with us.
