*News to Me* I just wanted to share in case anyone wasn't aware or needed a reminder/explanation.

Located at the bottom of our school calendar, it explains how long our Early Release Wednesdays are meant to last. It states that our 4th teacher work day (which used to be used during evening parent teacher conferences), will be split into 9, 50-minute sessions, totalling 7.5 hours.

*Teachers will stay 50 minutes later (than regular contract hours) on Early Release Days in exchange for the 4th teacher work day.

Even if you're not having an in person conference, each student could create a slide deck to send or share with their parents.

I'm always on the lookout for resources to make digital tools more accessible for all students. One quick helpful tool for students with dyslexia is a google extension called OpenDyslexic for Chrome. It is an extension that changes website font to the Open Dyslexic font that weights the bottom of letters more heavily and slightly tilts tricky letters more dramatically than normal so that they stand out more prominently for students.

Helperbird is another extension that has several other features to help increase the readability of websites. Here you can choose font, text size, word spacing, letter spacing, line height and text alignment.
