Student Costume Guidelines for In School PTA Fall Party
The PTA's in school fall costume party is October 30. The party will give students the chance to change into costumes at school and change back into their regular clothes before they go home.
More information about the parties will be coming soon from the PTA.
In order to help parents prepare, here are the Student Costume Guidelines for the upcoming in school fall party.
Dear Parents,
Dressing in costume and participation in the party is optional. Please contact your child's teacher if your child will not participate in the room party. The school will provide an alternate activity.
COSTUME GUIDELINES
Parents, as you and your child(ren) select costumes for the PTA Fall Party please keep the following information in mind.
Select a costume that is simple to put on over clothing. (Inflatable costumes cannot be accommodated.) It should be easy for students to put on and take off with little assistance from adults. Students will put the costumes on by themselves. Students will not be able to wear costumes to school. Make-up cannot be worn to school or applied at school.
Student costumes should be appropriate for an elementary school environment. Costumes depicting violence, showing blood, or showing the midriff (stomach area) are not to be worn.
All students are to bring their costumes to school in a bag. Students will change at school. Students will change back into their regular clothing before dismissal.
Due to safety reasons:
Masks cannot be worn and toy weapons and other sharp objects (i.e., wooden swords, guns) may not be a part of a costume. This practice follows district policy concerning weapons at school.
Spray cans of any type may not be used at school. (i.e., spray-on hair colors, make up, etc.).
Please note: We cannot accept candy or treats due to student allergies. The PTA will provide students with a school approved snack and teachers will monitor students for allergies.
