FSA ID - The first step to filling out FAFSA is for students to acquire their FSA ID
Completing the FAFSA is an Illinois graduation requirement. The first step in this process is for students to acquire an FSA ID.
Visit the link below to create an FSA ID. Students will need:
- Social Security number
- Full name
- Date of birth
FSA ID Tips:
If you need to provide information about your parents on the FAFSA form, one of your parents will need an FSA ID to sign the form. Your parent can create an FSA ID and then sign the FAFSA form electronically using that FSA ID. Not sure whether you’ll need to put your parents’ information on the FAFSA form? Check out StudentAid.gov/dependency. Remember: students should create their own FSA ID, and a parent should create their own FSA ID. Also make sure to use the correct FSA ID when signing the FAFSA form electronically.
Once you create your FSA ID, it will take 1-3 days before you will be able to use it on the FAFSA. It takes time for the Social Security Administration to confirm information.
LW will host a FAFSA night in January. Students/parents need to have their FSA ID in advance of that event.
Jostens Orders for Seniors
Seniors - Jostens will be here to pick up your graduation orders on Thursday, October 3rd, before school at 7:45am. Please make sure you bring your order in that morning. Extra packets are available in the office.
