Dear Wilbanks Middle School Families,

As we head into the final nine weeks of the school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the hard work our students and staff have put in thus far and look forward to an exciting spring ahead! This is a crucial time for our learners as they prepare for the upcoming GA Milestones Testing, scheduled directly after Spring Break. We encourage all students to continue to put forth their best effort these last few weeks.

Report cards were distributed this Monday, and we ask you to please discuss them with your child. We appreciate your support in signing the report cards and returning them by today, Friday. Your involvement is key in helping students stay accountable for their academic progress.

We have a jam-packed schedule of events this spring, including the much-anticipated Talent Show, the 8th Grade Dance, House Rally, various field trips, and our Honors Day celebration! To participate in these activities, students will need to maintain good attendance and be in good academic standing. Your encouragement at home plays a vital role in their success!

In an effort to promote positive behavior and engagement, we have reset all Student LiveSchool accounts for the final term, which means all students start at a zero balance. Students have the chance to earn points that will contribute to our exciting House Battles! The winning House will receive a special field trip to the Fun Factory. Furthermore, students can also qualify for an incredible Incentive Field Day Experience on the last day of school, featuring a water station with multiple slides—something your kids won’t want to miss!

As we enter this last quarter, let’s motivate each other to finish strong. Please encourage your student to work hard and maintain their focus as we lead up to Spring Break and beyond. Together, we can support our students in achieving their best!

The Book Club at Wilbanks Middle School is a part of the Tome Student Literacy Society (Tome Society). Tome Society serves students in grades 2-12 by providing a diverse menu of digital student competitions; an annual book award list of new, clean, fun-to-read children's and young adult literature titles; student book club activities; curriculum materials for educators; and the TomeCon annual conference for both students and educators. All activities promote self-esteem, leadership skills, character ethics, and nurture critical thinking, creativity, and imagination in the digital age.
