Exam Schedules
Exam sittings for junior high students begin at 8:45 a.m. (like every school day) and typically proceed until 11:45 a.m. Jr. High Students are required to stay in their exam room until 11:45 am for all exams (but have access to additional time for certain exams). Students cannot be excused from school until that time (except for emergencies). During exam week, afternoon classes continue for junior high students according to their regular schedule. Typically, these times are utilized for studying or other learning opportunities. Please call or email the office to inform the school if your child will not be attending their afternoon classes on exam days. During exam week, high school students can arrange help sessions with their teachers via email.

Textbook and Library Books Due June 20
Hello and Happy June! The end of the year is fast approaching and with that comes the time when all library books and textbooks are due back at The Commons. All Library books will be due June 20th and textbooks are due the day of the course final exam. Please note: For students not returning to our school in the fall, textbooks and library books are due by June 26th. Any textbooks or library books not returned by June 26th will have a non-refundable fine uploaded to your account on June 27th. For students returning in the fall: All Textbooks and library books are due by June 26th. There will be a non-refundable fine uploaded to your account on September 30th if the books are not returned by the beginning of the fall semester. MyPass Set Up Sessions
Mrs. Khajavi will be hosting MyPass set up sessions in
The Commons on Tuesday, May 14 for current high school students.
Current grades 10-12 students interested in attending 1 of the MyPass set up sessions must be registered for the session first.

Please Check for New School Fees!
Several sports team and field trip fees have been added this month. Please login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal and go to “Student Fees.” There you can view your fees and pay them online. Fees are due within 30 days of posting.
If you are unsure how to make a payment, or would like to make a partial payment only, you can watch this tutorial created by our very own Mrs. Khajavi which walks you through the student fee payment options.

Complete your census online starting May 1, 2024
The 2024 municipal census begins May 1. Watch your mail in late April for your personalized PIN number. We strongly encourage residents to use the online platform for its efficiency, convenience, and security.
Starting May 13, our dedicated census workers will conduct door-to-door collection for households that have not yet participated, while the online option remains open throughout this period.

Traveling Internationally?
Please let your teacher(s) or the office know if you are traveling outside of Canada and require access to your Brightspace. Regularly, Brightspace isn't accessible when you are outside of Canada, so we need to request access from EIPS for the duration of your travels.

Summer School Registration
Summer School 2024 registration is open! Visit https://www.eipsnextstep.ca/ regarding updated information, registration, and programming. We are offering more course offerings than in the past to create more opportunities for students and families. Students can take up to 10 credits in Summer School.

Volunteer Opportunity
We Need Volunteers for SPAC Half Day Camps this Summer
July 8-12 and/or August 19-23
Volunteer with a group of kids and help them with camp-themed outside games, gym games, crafts, snacks, songs & interactive Bible stories.
Plan to arrive at 8:30am and leave at 12:30pm each day. Volunteer snacks provided and a thank you pizza lunch on Friday!
We can provide reference letters if that’s helpful!

Please remember that our building does not open for students before 8:20AM. Students who arrive earlier will need to wait outside until the doors open.
In the afternoon, we kindly ask that students pick up their children before 3:35PM. After 3:35PM, students are kindly asked to wait outside for their transportation.
