A Word from the Head of School
We had an awesome Homecoming weekend held just behind us here, and I wanted to share a brief pause that I was able to experience during the football game Friday. I got the opportunity to work the chains at the game alongside some close friends, and at one point coming to the close of the half after a big play from our Eagles, I got to take in the enormity of the crowd that was in attendance all joyously cheering on our team. That picture and moment set off a tailspin of reflection for me and put in perspective the front row seat I've gotten the privilege to have seeing the way that this school has developed, grown, and transformed in many ways.
There is honestly too much to list and describe from all that was recounted, but the gist of it all is this: I'm so THANKFUL for Brazosport Christian School! We have such awesome students, we have an amazing staff, this school is full of a parental community that is appreciative and unified, we have a fantastic PTF support network in action, we have seen so many new courses and extracurricular opportunities be able to be sponsored and ingrained into the stream of our programs and offerings, and we have seen a rally of generosity and support coming from our larger community in the area here surrounding this school as well. There are many incredible things taking place at BCS!
So thank you all for being a part of this school community! Each family represented offers a richness to our school and culture that continues to edify and boost this school forward. As the saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child." To add to that, we firmly hold that "it takes the RIGHT village to raise a child in the RIGHT way." BCS is holding firmly together to support each child that enters to move down the true and right path in life. Life found in Christ.

PSAT - October 15
PSAT testing will be conducted on October 15th, 7:45am - 12:00pm for all 8th-11th grade students. PSAT testing is one of our standardized tests we administer each year that is included in the cost of tuition. It provides our students with a benchmark score they can use to better prepare for the SAT they have the option of taking their Senior year. Additionally, there are scholarship opportunities tied to the score for 11th grade students.
Now for the important part: All students taking the PSAT will need to have a laptop to take the test. 9th - 11th grade students should already have a laptop, so they will just bring the laptop they would normally bring to school. For 8th grade students, if you have a personal laptop you can bring to school that day, please do so. If any 8th grade student does not have access to a laptop they can use for testing, PLEASE LET Mr. Resecker KNOW ASAP so that we can make arrangements prior to test day. The only catch for laptops is that the PSAT cannot be taken on a personal Chromebook. There is a restriction in the PSAT software that prevents using personal Chromebooks. It has to be a Windows-based laptop.

BCS Rebuild T-shirt
We love seeing everyone in their Rebuild t-shirts! Most t-shirts have been delivered! There were a few online orders with no name. If you ordered t-shirts and have not received them, please contact Anna Lester.

Career Showcase Food Sign Up
PTF would love your help in providing food in the hospitality room during the Future Pathways Career Showcase on October 10. This food is being provided to the volunteers who are speaking with our students about their organization as they are exploring a wide range of career paths.

School Store Sign Up
School store is back for the 2024-2025 school year! The school store will be ran every other Friday from 7:15-7:45am, alternating from Woot Woot wagon. Typically the school store has items like pencils, notepads, trinkets, holiday themed items, and more. Prices range from $.10-$5.00.
