Madonna Catholic School News
May 30th, 2025
Dear Madonna Families,
As we wrap up the month of May, we extend heartfelt thanks to the incredible volunteers and community supporters who joined us this week for our Volunteer Tea. Your kindness, time, and dedication bring life and joy to our school. You are truly a blessing to the Madonna Catholic School community—THANK YOU for all you do!
This weekend’s Gospel (Mark 12:28-34) reminds us of the greatest commandments: to love God and to love our neighbor. Your service is a beautiful reflection of this love in action—seen in every small task, every kind word, and every moment shared with our students and staff.
As we look ahead to June, we offer this short prayer:
Loving God,
Thank You for the gift of our volunteers. Bless them with peace and joy. May our whole school community enjoy a restful weekend and a joyful, grace-filled final month of school.
Amen.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Cathy Hinger, Principal
Mrs. Fiona Wimmer, Assistant Principal

Linking Generations Wraps Up for Another School Year
The Linking Generations Program provides mentored and structured visits aimed at building relationships between seniors and youth in our community. The program brings the generations together so they can share their knowledge and life experiences, and encourages volunteering and social responsibility in youth. This year we have had all of our grade level classrooms connected to a "Grandparent" who has come to our school between 2 to 4 times a month learning from our students and sharing their perspective and knowledge. We wish all of our grandparents a safe and happy summer an dlook forward to restarting these important relationships in the fall.
