TUSD Celebrates a Love of Reading Week in February
Get ready for a fabulous celebration as we dive into Love of Reading Week! This month is bursting with excitement, featuring our Scholastic Book Fair, thrilling Literacy Night, and parent-teacher conferences for grades K through 8. We’re inviting our amazing community members to join the fun and help us spread the joy of reading!
It’s all about making reading an exciting journey! So, don’t forget to ask your child what fun activities are happening at school this week. Let’s come together to celebrate the magic of books and inspire a lifelong love of reading! Happy reading, everyone!
Get Ready for Parent-Teacher Conferences!
As we gear up for our upcoming conferences, let’s make the most of this opportunity! Here are three fun tips to help you prepare:
Reflect & List: 📝 Take a moment to think about your child's progress. Write down any questions or concerns you want to discuss. This way, you’ll stay focused and make sure nothing important gets overlooked!
Talk It Out: 💬 Chat with your child about their experiences in school. Ask them what they love and what they'd like to improve on. Their insights will add a unique perspective to your conversation with the teacher!
Set Goals Together: 🎯 Before the conference, decide what you want to achieve. Whether it’s understanding their academic performance or exploring ways to support them at home, having clear goals will help guide the discussion!
Let’s work together to make this conference a valuable experience for everyone! We can't wait to see you there! 🎉
Community Spotlight: Angel Heart Pajama Project
We are thrilled to shine a light on our incredible partner, the Angel Heart Pajama Project, whose mission embodies warmth, comfort, and compassion. Since 2013, they have been a beacon of hope in Southern Arizona, providing pajamas and books to over 50,000 children in need. Their dedication to enhancing sleep quality and fostering a love of reading has made a significant impact on countless lives. We are immensely grateful for their generous donations to the FRCs and the HEART program, which continue to make a difference in our community. To learn more about their inspiring work, visit their website HERE. Together, we can help spread warmth and joy to those who need it most!
