Back to School Guide

Attend important back-to-school events (see Important Dates listed below!)
Review supply lists and purchase any supplies needed for the new school year (see the Supply List section below). Remember, supplies are FREE for grades K-4, while some supplies are provided for grades 5-12.

*Students who were previously enrolled do not have to re-enroll.

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
Guardians and students in grades K-9th grade and students who are new to EHS will attend their school orientation to find out their student’s schedule and teacher for the upcoming school year.
Returning EHS students can access their schedules via their HAC account on August 8th.

Each student will receive back to school forms at orientation or on the first day of school. Each guardian must complete and return the forms to your student’s school as soon as possible. There must be a form on file for each student of the El Dorado School District.
School supplies will be provided free to students in grades K-4.
WMS and BJHS will provide school supplies for students, as well.
- WMS students need to bring a backpack, 4 boxes of Kleenex, 4 bottles of hand sanitizer, and 1 box of Clorox wipes.
- BJHS students need to bring a backpack, wired earbuds, 2 boxes of Kleenex, and 2 bottles of hand sanitizer.
EHS will provide students with a Chromebook. Teachers will pass out class materials lists during orientation or the first week of school. Supply lists are based on the needs of the individual class.
- EHS students will need to bring a binder, notebook, pen and paper.

During the 2024-25 school year, El Dorado School District students in kindergarten - 12th grade will eat breakfast and lunch for free.
ESD is requesting all families to complete a meal application, regardless of their income status. This helps the district collect essential data to sustain funding and continue providing free meals in the upcoming school years.

El Dorado School District is a one-to-one district, providing access to a Chromebook to each student in grades 9-12 to support their learning.
Please make sure you fully read our Chromebook Agreement form for important guidelines.
All students must be up-to-date with their immunizations to start school on August 14, 2024. The school nurse must have an up-to-date immunization record or exempt form for every student. Please take the time to read the immunization requirements and follow the proper steps to make sure your child is able to attend school this fall.

- EHS Orientation (only for 9th grade and new students), 9am - 3:30pm
- 10am - 11:30pm Last Names A-Ha
- 12:30pm Last Names He-O
- 2pm - 3:30pm Last Names M-Z
August 12, 2024:
- BJHS 7th Grade Orientation/Parent Meeting
- Last Name A-L, 10:30am - Noon
- Last Name M-Z, 1pm - 2:30pm
- WMS Orientation, Noon - 6pm
- Elementary Orientation, noon - 6pm
- ESD Board Meeting, 6pm
August 13, 2024:
- BJHS 8th Grade Orientation/Schedule Pick-Up, 1 - 4pm
August 14, 2024:
- First Day of School
