Flint Energies Washington Youth Tour
Once a year, Flint Energies selects four high school students to represent the Co-op as delegates for the Washington Youth Tour.
Flint Energies delegates will join hundreds of other students from across the country – all expenses paid – for an incredible week in our nation's capital. The tour is a fast-paced leadership opportunity to see what makes America tick. Flint Energies and Georgia EMC sponsor this program. Rising seniors will compete in a quiz and interview to test their co-op knowledge. Flint then selects four winners and sends them to Washington, D.C., all expenses paid. They will join winners from across Georgia and 44 states to network and learn more about our nation's capital.
The Washington Youth Tour, sponsored nationally by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and statewide by Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (GEMC), is a jam-packed backstage pass to Washington, D.C. It offers high school students an unforgettable, life-changing leadership experience in our nation’s capital.

đź“•YEARBOOK INFOđź“•
The only way to guarantee that you will receive a yearbook is to pre-order it. They’re $65 until the end of first semester. At that point, they’ll increase to $75. Preorders will end on March 31, 2025.
In second semester, the price will go up. We do not over-order yearbooks to have extras for sale at the end of the year. You NEED to pre-order to ensure you get a yearbook. Payment plans may be coordinated with Mrs. Custer in A8 if you need to set one up. Yearbooks can be purchased with credit/debit cards at yearbookforever.com, or you can bring cash or check to Mrs. Custer in A8 before or after school. Buy early, save money! There are plenty of other things you will need to spend money on during your senior year. Save money whenever you can. Your parents will thank you for this!
Here is the website you can order from if you prefer not to purchase in person from Mrs. Custer.

🍎SCHOOL BREAKFAST AND LUNCH🍎
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a non-pricing meal service option for schools and school districts in low-income areas. CEP allows the nation’s highest poverty schools and districts to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students without collecting household applications. Instead, schools that adopt CEP are reimbursed using a formula based on the percentage of students categorically eligible for free meals based on their participation in other specific means-tested programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
