Be Kind, Be Helpful, Work Hard
October 2024
Announcements
Thank you all for wonderful Community Service Day on September 21st. The focus was on the Quad area and it looks just beautiful. The students have commented on how nice it looks with all of the plants. Thank to all or our volunteers and PTSA for organizing!
Hispanic Heritage Celebrations
We had our wonderful Hispanic Heritage celebration today at lunch. Activities included face painting, paper flower making, trivia, Loteria, and music. Thank you to our amazing Elective Department, our Leadership Students, and Ms. Robin for all of your hard work in putting the event together. Fun was had by all!
Monthly Curricular Focus
With our goal of Connectedness, we wanted a way for parents to know what there children were working on in each of their classes. As of today, you can go to our website https://pleasanthillmiddle.mdusd.org/ and right next to where this newsletter is posted you will see "Monthly Curricular Focus" with a link here showing current and upcoming work.
Chromebook Charging
With so much of our content being in digital form, students do need their Chromebooks to access curriculum and assignments. We could really use all of your help in making sure that these much needed tools are charged when they come to school. Thank you!
Dress Code
We are asking your support of our dress as posted in our Planner:
Clothing worn to school should be comfortable and appropriate for school activities. While we encourage self-expression, clothing should model an academic environment. If an item of clothing is questionable, an administrator will make the determination if the item is appropriate.
- Students must be immediately recognizable and therefore hats, beanies, hoods, or recreational head coverings are not allowed so we can easily identify you. If there is a medical or other reason for a head covering, parents must contact the office.
- Clothing must cover the midsection, all undergarments, and private body areas. Nothing too loose, nothing too tight.
- Sleepwear/pajama pants, slippers, and blankets are not allowed.
- Clothing or an accessory containing objectionable or obscene words or pictures is not to be worn. Clothing that promotes prejudice, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, weapons, nudity, profanity, or illegal activities is not allowed.
- Shoes must be worn at all times and you must have athletic shoes for participation in P.E.
- If a determination of inappropriate clothing is found, you will change into clean, loaner clothing items from the office.
