Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
We kindly ask you to follow our drop off and pick up procedures. While we were more flexible in the first weeks, we will be enforcing stricter procedures going forward. Please allow us to ensure your child's safety and engagement. The outlined drop-off and pick-up procedures are detailed below.
Bus Drop Off & Pick Up: Staff on Campus assist Kindergartners with getting to their classrooms. For afternoon dismissal, your child's teacher will accompany them onto the bus.
Car Drop Off & Pick Up: For morning drop-off, follow the red lines indicated on the map below. The same procedure will be used for after-school pick-up. Stay in your vehicle; in the morning, your child will exit the car when you approach the designated corner. In the afternoon, your child will enter the car at the same location. If you need to assist your child after they're in the car, kindly move forward to an available parking space to maintain a smooth flow of traffic.
Parent Drop Off & Pick Up (Parking): If you prefer to park, utilize the green area and accompany your child to the car pick-up corner to bid them farewell. You can pick up your child from the "parent pick-up" location shown in the picture below.
Please inform your child's teacher of your chosen option (bus, car pick-up or parent pick-up), and we'll ensure your child is in the correct spot.
If you have a change to your students go home plan, please communicate it to the office no later than 2:30.

Please be aware that the first several weeks of school can often see changes to routes as First Student makes adjustments. Any changes impacting riders will be communicated by your child’s school.
Due to road construction in many areas of the district, some buses may need to take a detour and/or may be delayed. PLEASE NOTE: The district code has changed this year. To use the app, enter the four-digit code LMWV. Get instructions for installing the app.
Nutrition Services Digital Menu
Starting this year, Battle Ground Public Schools is partnering with Chartwells to provide breakfast and lunch at school. Menus are still available via Nutrislice and meal expenses can still be paid through InTouch Receipting. just like last year. Printable menus are also available on the district and school websites.
All students in the district’s seven primary schools (kindergarten through fourth grade) will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost to them. All students at CAM Academy will also receive free meals. Students at other schools may qualify to receive meals at no cost for families. Please check the family income requirements and fill out an application during the annual student update process or via the district website. Please note that even if your child has qualified for free meals in the past, you will still need to reapply.

The importance of Regular Attendance
Thank you for working to maintain your child’s attendance. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to student learning and success. The skills that students learn in primary school will help them be successful in middle and high school. A student’s attendance often can predict whether they are likely to graduate high school on time. Read more.

New Safety Protocols
This year, Battle Ground Public Schools joins most Southwest Washington schools and districts in using the Standard Response Protocol for emergencies. Depending on the situation, a school will be placed in a hold, secure, lockdown, evacuation or shelter. See what these terms mean. This common language helps schools, first responders and the community communicate clearly and effectively to reduce misunderstandings in emergency situations.
Report incidents anonymously with SafeSchools
Please report bullying, intimidation, harassment, threats and safety concerns using our anonymous reporting system. Reporters can remain anonymous. Emergencies should always be reported to 911. Learn more about emergency procedures and safety protocols.
