Ennis ISD supports education services through supplemental grant applications submitted annually to the Texas Education Agency. The listing below are current grant applications submitted for supplemental funding to improve the academic achievement of all students.

The purpose of Title I, Part A [funding] is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

The purpose of Title II, Part A is to provide grants to increase student academic achievement through strategies such as improving teacher and principal quality and increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in the classroom and highly qualified principals and assistant principals in schools; and hold local educational agencies and schools accountable for improvements in student academic achievement.

The purpose of Title III, Part A is to ensure that children who are English language learners (ELLs), including immigrant children and youth, attain English language proficiency, reach high levels of academic achievement, and meet the same challenging State academic content and student academic achievement standards all children are expected to meet.

The purpose Title IV subpart 1 is to improve students’ academic achievement by increasing the capacity to; provide all students with access to a well-rounded education; improve school conditions for student learning; and improve the use of technology in order to improve the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students.

The purpose of the Migrant Education Program (MEP) is to support the state and local programs that meet the special educational needs of the migratory children of farmworkers (including migratory daily workers and fishermen as identified in the district). Migrant funded districts are trained in the areas of concern as identified by the U.S. Office of Migrant Education (OME), which include:

• Educational Continuity
• Instructional Time
• School Engagement
• Educational Support in the Home
• Health
• Access to Services

The purpose of Private Non-Profit (PNP) is to provide equitable Title I, Title II, Title III, and IV services to private non-profit schools that are compliant with federal and state guidance. Ennis ISD is part of the Region 10 PNP Cooperative and they act as a liaison between EISD and private non-profit schools.
