SCHEDULE CHANGES for TERMS 3 and 4
Term 3 & 4 Schedule Change Requests
Schedule change requests for Term 3 and Term 4 classes can be requested from the time you receive your schedule until Friday, December 13th at 3pm. The schedule change request window for Term 3 and Term 4 classes is closed after that date.
Steps to request a schedule change:
REVIEW FIRST: Can I Change My Schedule?
Master Schedule - Review other class options for the change you are looking to make (keep in mind that some class offerings may be full)
Fill out the Schedule Change Request 2024-25 FILL OUT FORM COMPLETELY
Your School Counselor will email you and your parent/guardian with status of schedule change and request for approval.
Exceptions include: Failing a core class, participating in WBL/YA, ECCP, SCN, CVTC Academies, Qualify for a Flex, Math Tutor
SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUESTS WILL NO LONGER BE CONSIDERED AFTER:
December 13th by 3:00pm
ACADEMIC and CAREER PLANNING
- Students completed p. 2 of their learner profile and their first point of pride; both required for their ACP Portfolio. Students explored the new ACP Student website and took time to email a copy of their ACP Portfolio to their parent(s)/guardian(s). Check your email; take a look!
What's Next:
- Students will be reviewing the 2025-26 Academic Career Planning and Resource Guide to create a 4 year planning document. Parents/guardians are encouraged to review their student's plans and course selections for next year. Students will enter course choices in IC and will prepare for the Western WI College and Career Fair.
- Outcomes:
- Students participated in a Board of Directors lesson and a Personal Values lesson. Students complete their first point of pride for the 2024-25 school year. Students explored the new ACP Student website and took time to email a copy of their ACP Portfolio to their parent(s)/guardian(s). Check your email; take a look!
What's Next:
- Students will be reviewing the 2025-26 Academic Career Planning and Resource Guide to create a 4 year planning document. Parents/guardians are encouraged to review their student's plans and course selections for next year. Outcomes:
- Students were engaged in lessons focused on digital literacy and identifying a personal board of directors. They completed their first project reflection for their ACP Portfolio. Students learned about several post-secondary options from faculty, representatives and current students in the areas of 4 year, 2 year and Apprenticeship options. Students explored the new ACP Student website and took time to email a copy of their ACP Portfolio to their parent(s)/guardian(s). Check your email; take a look!
What's Next:
- Students will be reviewing the 2025-26 Academic Career Planning and Resource Guide to create a 4 year planning document. Parents/guardians are encouraged to review their student's plans and course selections for next year. - The ACP Portfolio for seniors was due on November 25, 2024. Students took time to email a copy of their ACP Portfolio to their parent(s)/guardian(s). Check your email; take a look! All information and former lessons can be found on the new ACP Student website.
What's Next:
- Students who are graduating term 2 or term 3 and spring athletes will participate in their Senior Exit Interviews on Friday, December 13th. The information is on the ACP Student website.
CVTC Learning Opportunity
Introduction to Precision Measurement/Introduction to Mechatronics
CVTC's mobile lab is coming to RFHS during term 3 block 3. Interested students can attend a meeting during W.I.N on December 10, 2024 to learn more. Two courses will be offered; Introduction to Precision Measurement and Introduction to Mechatronics; students must register for both.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Senior Exit Interviews
The first round of the RFHS Senior Exit Interviews will take place on December 13, 2024, from 8am-11:15am in the River Falls High School Library Media Center. We have over 130 students scheduled for that day and need volunteers.
Volunteers will play a crucial role in facilitating these interviews, providing support to students as they share their achievements, growth, and future aspirations. Your involvement will contribute significantly to making this event a success and ensuring our seniors have a memorable and meaningful conclusion to their high school journey.

For students seeking job opportunities, the High School Job Board is an excellent resource. It's regularly updated with new listings, so be sure to check back often. Whether you’re searching for part-time jobs, internships, or roles connected to Youth Apprenticeship, this is an ideal starting point for your job hunt.

Technical College Tours
River Falls High School will be taking students on college visits to Dakota County Technical College, Northwood Tech, and CVTC Eau Claire. These visits will consist of an informational session as well as a tour. Junior and Senior students are able to register on a first-come first-serve basis, as we will only be able to take 1 bus.
Northwood Tech - Wed, Dec 11, 2024 (10:00-2:00) Campus Lunch Provided
Dakota County Tech Wednesday, February 5, 2025 (8:15-12:15 back for 2nd &3rd)
All students are responsible for any homework missed during the school day and are required to ask their teachers for any assignments prior to the college visit. Students will get detailed information about the trip (including schedule, meeting time, and lunch plans if needed) in the days before.
