The Lister Weekly Update #5
Wednesday 9th October
Your Lister News from the Lister News Team
Ofsted Visit Lister
Dear Parents and Carers,
Ofsted are currently inspecting Lister. No doubt you have received the email so that you can provide feedback on your view of our wonderful school. As you know, Ofsted inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people. We often associate them often as being a school inspection team. During yesterday and today we are welcoming the inspection team to see the collective strengths that we show as a school and the report will be available, for you interest, in a few months time. During inspections all the staff in schools are very busy being at their best in lessons and elsewhere. We find that we have very little to report from the Lister News desk, aside from saying that we are very proud about the dedication and hard work of all of the Lister staff and students. This version of the Lister News will be rather shorter than normal. As we find every day, Lister is aiming for excellence. We are sure that there will be a lot more news to follow next week.

London Parent Childcare Survey
The London Borough of Newham would like to hear from parents and carers about
their childcare needs. Your views are important in helping us decide how to shape services that will be useful for you.
We are asking parents and carers in Newham whether they use childcare, how they use it, what they think about it and whether they would like to use more.
The questionnaire will take around 10 minutes to complete. The closing date to submit your survey is Sunday 8 December 2024. We are very keen to ensure your views are taken into account. Anyone completing the survey can opt in to be entered into a free prize draw for a chance to win £100 of shopping vouchers.
At the end of the questionnaire, there is an opportunity for you to request further information about funded early education, the new extension to funded childcare, wraparound childcare, help with childcare costs and childcare providers in Newham.
