Fall Updates and Important Information
Leave Page for 2024-25
If you have not already, please bookmark the leave page. It should answer most any question you have. The most common questions we receive are about 5% (Red) days and requesting and exception.
Remember that the 5% calendar (linked on the leave page) is not a live update. This means that a day and move from orange to red at any time. If you enter a day and it locks you out, talk with your principal to see if it is possible to secure coverage. In addition, if you are a teacher who went in and marked every Friday "just in case" please be mindful that there people who need those days off. You can certainly mark off a day anticipating a situation, but please don't pick the most popular days and until until 24 hours before to determine if you feel like being gone or not. This helps all of our staff get the most out of the PTO model.
Retirement and Resignation Incentive
for Certified Staff who are part of the Negotiated Agreement
A reminder that there is a $500 incentive to those who announce their retirment or resignation by November 7, 2024. This will allow us to have those vacancies approved at the Board Meeting and begin the search for potential candidates.
If you know that you will be retiring or resigning this year, please submit those letters to myself, Dellene and your administrator by November 7th.

PD Day October
You can always reference the PD calendar as a reminder of the agenda. We will have work time in the afternoon. The morning will be an opportunity for buildings to work on the MTSS 4 Pillars as well as collaboration for grade level/department groups. Mr. Edwards and Mrs. Paider have included details for the morning on the October tab.
PD After Hours
In an effort to provide the opportunity to collaborate with colleague, we are offering PD After Hours this year. We have already had a few sessions and hope that this can continue throughout the year. Here are a few questions that we have received:
1. Do I have to attend a certain number? No. These are completely optional. You can go to all of them or none of them. It is just an opportunity to collaborate.
2. Can I use them for professional growth? Yes. These can be documented in your professional growth folders (Remember that professional growth are the hours required every 6 years, not to be confused with professional advancement that moves you across the salary schedule)
3. What kinds of topics will you offer in the future? Anything you want! If you have an idea to either present or request, reach out and I will try my best to line that up.
4. Do I need to bring anything with me? Nope! Just an open mind and excitement to learn from and with your peers.
The October PD After Hours is attached below. Coming soon...NOVEMBER.
