Bicycle Permission Form
Students are beginning to ride their bikes to school. All students who ride to school on a bike need to have a bike permission form on file in the front office. Please click the link below to access the permission form. Please send these forms home with interested students. They are to be turned in to Kayla or Suzanne in the front office.
HG Documentary Teams Going to Nationals in Washington DC
Two groups of students from Ms. McNeils class have been selected as the top two history documentaries in the state of Alaska. They will now advance to the national competition in Washington, DC.
The creators of the documentary 9/11: The Tragedy that Created the TSA are Lyla Bailly, Cady Callaway, Phoebe Van Wyck, and Anya Mclaughlin. The creators of the documentary The Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964: Earthquake Safety Changed Forever are Kaia Washington, Mira Posey, and William Larkin.The fundraisers will be to raise money for fees, flights, hotels, food, and more.
The first fundraiser will be a lemonade stand here at Rogers Park. Students will have a sales booth in the MPR from 10:55 to 11:25 everyday next week and the following week after that. (4/22-5/3). Cups of lemonade will be $1 per cup and sweet treats will be 2$ per treat. Please cash and coins only. There will be other fundraisers in the near future, more information coming soon. Let’s support our students!

Rogers Park Kindergarten Round Up - 4/23 12:30pm - 1:30pm
ASD Super Sweepers!
Rogers Park has joined the Anchorage Chamber ASD Super Sweeper event!
PTA has registered our school to participate in the event. Our school event will take place Friday, May 3rd right after school. More details to come as the date approaches.

May 8th --Walk, Bike, & Roll to School!
This year there will be one bike donated from the Trek bike shop and one bike donated from the Bicycle Shop on Northern Lights. As long as your student is wearing a helmet, you can enter them in to win a prize. In the past, students who also scooter and skateboard to school can be included as long as they are also wearing a helmet.

Library News
Thank you to all the families who supported our Read-a-Thon. It was a wonderful success with over 150 students participating. Prizes for students will be shipped to Rogers Park soon and delivered to students as quickly as possible. All funds from the Read-a-Thon will be used to purchase new materials for the library and to replace the computers being removed this summer.
April is National Poetry month, and our students will stretch their creativity to create a wide variety of poetry. Wishing all our Rogers Park families a happy spring.
