Hour of Code at GMS
GMS students learned about coding during the worldwide "Hour of Code" event observed on Thursday, December 8. "Hour of Code" is an exercise designed to get students familiar with coding terminology and applications. It also teaches them problem-solving skills as they troubleshoot and build their own games.
GMS Business Education teachers helped more than 150 students set up computer games such as Minecraft and Flappy Bird where learners are in charge of building and testing the code that makes them work.
We hope that students are inspired and want to continue learning after this experience, and maybe even consider a career that involves coding!
