Synnovation Lab

On the video announcements, students saw THIS VIDEO to begin engaging them in the process of thinking about who they are, where they want to go and how they can become part of a learning Community that focuses on Personalization and Meaningful Learning Opportunities.

The Synnovation Lab is a cross-curricular program at Sycamore High School that focuses on increasing authentic learning opportunities and building skills students will need after high school and beyond.

Students and families interested in learning more should keep an eye out for future videos from Synnovation Lab students so they can learn about the #SynnovationDifference as well as virtual open house opportunities to learn more.

Start the process of answering “WHO ARE YOU”. Applications for rising 9th graders will be released December 1, 2021.

District Curriculum Tour

Sycamore Community Schools is currently engaged in the first year of implementation of our new strategic plan to empower all learners to reach their full potential in a globally competitive world. An important goal of this plan is to enhance academic achievement.

To support this goal, the district has partnered with Education Elements to conduct a thorough curriculum review to gain an understanding of current curriculum resources and how those resources impact instruction and student learning. The complete curriculum review will provide information regarding alignment and identify areas of need and growth.

We would like to invite families to join us to learn more about the curriculum review and its findings. These virtual, informational sessions will be led by representatives from Education Elements.

Virtual sessions will be held:

Picture Retake Day was Wednesday. All ordering from Strawbridge Studios is done entirely online at https://www.strawbridge.net/ . Click on "Order Pictures and Yearbooks". Enter our picture code: FM375884 to begin the ordering process.

To make the distribution process easier, picture packages will be shipped directly to your home. When ordering, please use the name your student uses in school records.

Attention Registered Nurses

The Sycamore Community School District is currently looking for registered nurses who would like to be employed as substitute nurses. Applicants must have current nursing experience, preferably with children, special needs, diabetes and an active nursing license.
