Families of UMS Science Fair participants are welcome to drop by the public session of science fair projects from 3:30-5:30 in the media center. Students must be off school grounds between 3:15-3:30, and must return with an adult.

Next Monday (2/24/25), students will be making sure their Chromebooks are updated and in working order for upcoming state testing.

The expectation is that students will have their school issued Chromebook with them everyday and it will be fully charged. Not having a Chromebook can impact the ability of your child to fully engage and participate in the planned lesson.

At this time, all 6th and 7th grade students have received their placement letters for next school year. Students were instructed to bring this letter home to review with their families. There is a link to access a Google Form so students can pick their own electives with their family's approval. All forms are due back to the Counseling Office ASAP.

6th Grade forms are pink and 7th grade forms are yellow.

During the month of Ramadan, UMS will have a no food area and a place to pray during each lunch shift in the library for students who wish to use it. If your family needs additional support during this time, please reach out to your child's grade level counselor.

On Monday, March 3rd at the Urbana Chipotle on Bennett Creek Ave from 4-8 PM Chipotle will be hosting a Urbana Middle School SGA Fundraiser! I hope you will attend and mention you are supporting UMS SGA at the checkout or use code JX6FE92 if you are using the app! This fundraiser will be a key opportunity for the UMS SGA to raise funds to attend school leadership trips, host 8th Grade formal, and help us redo our outdoor classroom which has fallen into disrepair.
