Carberry Elementary Newsletter
November 2024
Principal's Corner
Dear Carberry Families,
We are excited to share that Carberry has a brand-new electronic reader board, made possible by the generosity of an anonymous donor. This state-of-the-art sign was purchased from Signs2U, with the electrical installation expertly handled by Morrow Electric. Because of this generous gift, we can now provide you with timely information and updates every day. We are deeply grateful for the support!
With school beginning at 8:00 a.m., students are walking and biking to school during darker morning hours. To ensure everyone’s safety, we encourage parents to add reflective clothing or a small light to their child's outerwear. Let's work together to make sure every student arrives safely!
We’ve also made adjustments to our pickup and drop-off area to help improve traffic flow. New traffic pattern lines and arrows have been added to guide drivers into left- and right-turn lanes, making it easier and safer for all.
The arrival of fall weather means students are often leaving coats behind as the days warm up. Our lost and found is already full, so please take a moment to check the rack when you’re on campus. We want to make sure every coat finds its way home as the temperatures drop.
Recently, we had a fantastic turnout for parent-teacher conferences, with over 95% of families attending! Thursday evening was especially popular, and we saw higher attendance during the Thursday daytime slot than on Friday. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to our students' success.
Halloween is nearly here, and we’re looking forward to a fun and safe celebration, including our Trunk or Treat event. We’re grateful for the collaboration with Chief Kunka and his team, who provided a valuable Stranger Danger class for our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students, reminding them of important safety tips as we approach this festive season.
Thank you for your continued support, and let’s make it a fantastic November!
Warm regards,
Greg Alexander
