Football Round 1 Playoff Information
Hewitt-Trussville Football finished the regular season with a 8-2 record and will travel to Baker this Friday as the AHSAA 7A playoffs begin. The Hornets also finished the regular season with a 8-2 record.

Visitor Directions: From I-10, take exit 13 toward Theodore Dawes. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Mobile Greyhound Park/Dawes and merge onto Theodore Dawes Road. Continue straight onto Schillinger Road. Turn Left onto Airport Road. Please use the main entrance into Baker (Not the Stadium Entrance). All visitor fans should park in the main parking lot of Baker.
Stadium Notes:
Not Allowed: Baker does not allow firearms, alcohol, coolers, or any bag (including diaper bags) unless they are clear or pets. Law Enforcement is on campus to maintain a safe environment. Baker High School reserves the right to search all clear bags or containers if suspicious circumstances exist.
Playoff Bracket:
The winner of Friday's game between Hewitt-Trussville and Baker will meet the winner of the game between Enterprise and Austin in round two.

Parking at Baker High School is $5. Parking tickets can be purchased with cash or on GoFan later this week.

Friday's game will be live on the Husky Fast Network. Because this is an AHSAA postseason event, fans must purchase a NFHS subscription in order to view the game. Please follow the instructions below.

Girls Flag Football Beats Hoover to Open Playoffs
The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Flag Football team defeated Hoover 39-7 on Tuesday night in the opening round of the AHSAA 6A-7A playoffs. The Huskies are now 11-1 overall on the season. The HT offense was clicking early as they scored a touchdown on their first three drives. Ryleigh Wood found Peyton Hull on a crossing route and she raced down the sideline to put the Huskies up 6-0. Wood then found Addie Rutland over the middle to put the Huskies up 12-0. After another defensive stop, Wood connected with Brecken Phillips to put the Huskies up 19-0. Hoover answered just before halftime to make the score 19-7.
In the second half, Ryleigh Wood connected with Addie Rutland again to extend the lead to 26-7. Wood then tossed her fifth touchdown of the night as Peyton Hull hauled in another score. Erin Coleman rushed for the final Husky touchdown of the night.
The Huskies will travel to Madison next week to meet Bob Jones in round two.

Cross Country Set to Run for a State Title
The Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country teams will compete at the AHSAA 7A State Meet on Saturday in Moulton. The HT Girls will run at 11:10am and the HT Boys will run at 12:10pm. Last week, both HT teams qualified at the AHSAA 7A Section 3 Meet.

XC is State Bound! HT Boys and HT Girls Qualify
The HT Boys and HT Girls Cross Country teams both qualified for the AHSAA State Meet last Thursday. The HT Boys finished 2nd at the AHSAA 7A Section 3 Meet that was held in Trussville. The Huskies had three runners place in the top-10 overall led by Noah Jordan who finished 3rd with a time of 16:45.98. John Paul Amari was 6th overall with a time of 16:58.53. Jackson Morris was 9th overall with a time of 17:06.48. Maddox Turner was 14th overall finishing in 17:13.53 and Lelan Neal was 19th overall finishing in 17:20.53.
The HT Girls finished 4th as a team to qualify for state. Hadley Turner was 7th overall with a time of 20:26.66. Mary Durham was 10th overall with a time of 20:40.15. Natalie Wiram was 18th overall with a time of 21:09.97. Evelyn Robertson was 24th overall finishing in 21:43.41 and Elizabeth King was 25th overall finishing in 21:49.39.
Both teams will travel to Moulton on November 9 for the AHSAA 7A State Meet.

Bowling Wins Region Opener
Hewitt-Trussville Bowling swept the Region opener on Monday. The HT Boys defeated Huffman 1070-724. Justin Morison led the way for the Huskies as he bowled a 171. The HT Girls beat Huffman 1005-497. Sophia Shipman led the Huskies as she rolled a 150.
The Huskies will host Mortimer Jordan at Sparetime on Thursday.

Girls Basketball Opens Season Thursday Night
The 2024-2025 HTHS Girls Basketball season will begin on Thursday night. The Huskies will open the season with a 6pm game at Gadsden City. This weekend HT will travel to Montgomery for the Saint James Tip Off Tournament.

Boys Basketball Set to Begin 2024-2025 Campaign
The HTHS Boys Basketball team will travel to Gadsden City on Thursday night to open the 2024-2025 season. The Huskies will return home on November 12 to play Northridge.

7th Grade Hoops Win on Opening Night
Both HTMS 7th Grade Basketball teams defeated Oak Mountain on opening night. The HT Girls played at home and won 29-11. Livie Bullington and Sophia Brisco scored 10 points each. Sophie Bullington added eight points. The Huskies led 23-3 at halftime.
The HT Boys went on the road and defeated the Eagles 38-19. Landon Donner led the way with 11 points. Wyatt Gregory scored 10 points. Grayson Warren and Jacob Mattioli added five points each.
MS Bowling Gets the Sweep
The HT Boys and HT Girls Bowling teams picked up conference wins over Clay-Chalkville Monday. The HT Boys won 801-719 and the HT Girls won 882-600. The Huskies will travel to Thompson on Thursday.
