News for April 3, 2025
Dear Harambee Families,
Many of you have likely seen the recent announcement about changes to the Harambee calendar beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. If you haven’t had a chance to read the message from our Superintendent, Dr. Jenny Loeck, you can find it here.
I understand that this news may bring a range of emotions and questions. I want to assure you that we are partners in your student’s education, and we will walk through this change together. I encourage you to join us for a family meeting on Thursday, April 10, at 6:00 PM in the Harambee Media Center. Dr. Loeck, our associate superintendents, and other district representatives will be present to share more about this decision and answer any questions.
We are working on a Zoom option for those unable to attend in person, and if you can join us at school, we would love to see you. Childcare will be provided. If you need transportation assistance or an interpreter, please contact the Harambee office, and we will make arrangements.
As always, I am here for any questions or concerns. You can reach me by email at nathan.meyer@isd623.org or on my cell at (612) 201-7026.
We are in this together.
