Principal's Corner
Hello Gators! We all get a dress of choice tomorrow due to the LAAC survey parent participation. Well done LAAC committee and thank you Littleton Academy community for sharing your thoughts with us. The LAAC committee will present their finding to the Governing Board in a couple of months.
With Friday being Valentine's Day, spend a little extra time taking care of others and finding ways to be kind. We all respond to extra love every day!!
Speaking of extra love, we really feel the kindness and understanding in car pool lately. Thank you for responding to our needs and helping us have the best car pool around. You all are rockstars!!
We were thrilled to induct a new group of NJHS (National Junior Honors Society) members this week. I am always amazed at the quality of young people who join our chapter and bring their service minded leadership skills to our school. They are quality young people. A big congratulations to the following students: Jude B, Katelyn B, Jude Br., Titus B, Nina K., Cooper K., Graham M., Petra N., Holden H., Noah N., Roman P., Max S., and Finn W.
Everyone enjoy the three-day weekend--- stay warm, stay healthy, and stay happy.
Upcoming Events
Thank you!
Mrs. Weeber, Ms. Allen, Ms. Cox, and Mrs. Graziano had the privilege of attending this year's Colorado Council of the International Reading Association (CCIRA) conference. During the event, they acquired extensive knowledge in various areas, including curriculum connections, enhancing comprehension, transitioning from rigor to vigor in writing, fostering engaging reading environments, understanding the experience of dyslexia, and applying critical thinking strategies to literacy and mathematics.
They are deeply grateful to LASA for funding this invaluable professional development opportunity and are eager to implement their newly acquired strategies in the classroom and share them with colleagues. If you are interested in learning more, we invite you to attend the March LASA meeting, where they will present on how these innovative approaches are being integrated into their teaching practices.
Asbestos Letter for Littleton Academy
February 13, 2025
Dear Parents, Legal Guardians, Students, and Employees:
In 1986, Congress passed the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requiring schools to inspect and identify any asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM). We are pleased to announce Littleton Academy is an asbestos free school.
The law further requires an asbestos management plan to be developed and implemented to monitor any known or suspected ACBM. Littleton Academy has an asbestos management plan available for review in the administrative office of the school during regular business hours.
All inquiries regarding the asbestos plan and asbestos-related issues should be directed to Dr. Lorna Beckett, our designated Asbestos Program Coordinator.
Parents, legal guardians, students, and employees of Littleton Academy will be notified annually via our school newsletter of our annual compliance to AHERA.
