Back to School, First Day Information
Hello West Fork High School Families!
The first day is right around the corner, and the West Fork High School staff is ready to welcome our students on Monday, August 7th. I wanted to share a few important things for Monday to make the first day back as smooth as possible:
🕖School hours are 7:10 am - 2:50 pm. (Tardy bell rings at 7:15 am)
🔑Doors will open to students at 6:45 a.m.
- 🎒Students report to the cafeteria upon arrival. At approximately 7:10 am students will be dismissed to their 1st period class. Their official schedule will be distributed by their first period teacher. Posted lists will include students' 1st period teacher and room number.
🍳Breakfast is free for all students and available from 6:45-7:10 am.
🍕Lunch cost is $ 3.25 . Make sure your child brings a lunch or has money to purchase lunch on the first day. See paragraph below for more details about lunch.
🚙Car riders will be dropped off at the front of the school off of Sorters Rd. Parents are asked to drop their students off at the front door and remain in their vehicle. All West Fork staff will be available to assist students in finding their classrooms.
🚍Bus information is available in the "Smart Tag Parent Portal". Register or login to see bus number, pick up/drop off time and location. Buses will be delayed the first two days please be patient, we give students extra time to locate and get onto the bus.
💻Students will be issued a Chromebook during the school day on August 8th.
📷Students will receive their school ID during the first week of school. IDs must be on a lanyard or clipped to collar. Replacement or extra ID’s are $5.00. Temp IDs are $1.00.
🚦Expect traffic the first week, pick up and drop off will be slow. We understand, please don't worry if you run a little late the first day.
🔔Dismissal begins at 2:50 pm. Pick-up will take a little longer the first week, but it gets better after the first week of school. All students must be picked up no later than 3:15 pm. If a student isn't able to picked up by 3:15, the student must use bus transportation.
