Teacher Appreciation Week
SJPA has a very special Teacher Appreciation Week (the week of May 6th) planned to celebrate our staff but we need your help!
Volunteer ~ Important Reminders
- Volunteer hours must be logged by the last day of school ~ May 24, 2024!
- Volunteer hours logged after May 24th will not be accepted.
- Please double check CMG Connect to make sure your SEW and background check are current. If either are expired, volunteer hours will not be accepted until you renew. Please reach out to the office if you need a background check renewal form.
- Hours are logged via your FACTS Family Portal. Hours must be logged under the correct person from the drop down menu.
- School statements will be charged $20 per volunteer hour unfulfilled.
- If you have any questions, please email Annie Granvall granvalla@stjoes.com
Logging hours: Volunteer hours are logged via your FACTS Family Portal. Volunteer hours must be logged under the person who did the volunteering (choose from the drop down box when you click on Family via your FACTS Family Portal). You cannot verify your own volunteer hours. Once the office has verified that your SEW is current, they will verify hours submitted.
Library Note
In preparation for the upcoming construction in the library (Phase 2), the library will be closing at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 for the remainder of this school year.
Please search high and low for library books that need to be returned. We will begin invoicing for lost/not returned and damaged books the week of May 6 with the following exception.
If your child is in the intermediate grades and needs to keep a book for a final ELA book project, that is perfectly fine. We will need those books returned no later than Fri., May 17 (the earlier the better).
If you are looking to log some more volunteer hours (or just want to help), we are accepting help to pack books into boxes for summer storage. Please email Mrs. Governale at governale@stjoes.com if you are interested in helping the week of May 20. Thank you for your consideration.
