Monday is Picture Day!

If you have misplaced your picture info packet no worries! Simply go to lifetouch.com and enter the information below to order pictures online. Lifetouch is our contracted photographer. We will have a retake day on December 6th but please try to remember for Monday. We do not offer spring photos.

Vintage 1992 Ms Acosta School photo! Make sure to pick out your best floral jumper and get some volume in that hair! Front teeth are not required :)

If you feel unsafe or know someone who feels unsafe, please report it here. After you fill out the form below, SafeOregon sends an email to a school administrator with all of the details from your report. Please be aware of the amount of days your student misses by tracking the days your student is absent. If your child misses 10 days of school each school year, they will have missed 130 days of school by the time they graduate high school. That equals half a year of school missed!

If You Test Positive for COVID-19

• You do not need to isolate for a set number of days – discuss your individual medical care and risks with your primary care provider

• Stay home until:

• You have not had a fever for 24 hours and you have not taken fever-reducing medication AND

• Other COVID-19 symptoms are improving

• You can get others sick

• Avoid high-risk individuals for 10 days

• Mask when you are around other people for 10 days

Cascade Locks is an AVID elementary school. AVID stands for, Advancement Via Individual Determination.By teaching and reinforcing academic behaviors and higher-level thinking at a young age, AVID Elementary teachers create a ripple effect in later grades. Students develop the academic habits they will need to be successful in middle school, high school, and college, in an age-appropriate and challenging way. Students learn about organization, study skills, communication, and self-advocacy. AVID Elementary students take structured notes and answer and ask high-level questions that go beyond routine answers.

We are now using Peachjar! Parents/guardians receive digital flyers containing school and community resources that aim to improve the trajectory of students’ lives. This transition will also save our schools time and money while ensuring important information makes it home to parents.
