State and District-wide Assessments

Annual ARD
When an Annual ARD is held, be sure the checkbox for Dyslexia Assessment Met Criteria - Yes on the Information Reviewed and Considered screen is selected and the date added.
Reminder - If the student is going to receive dyslexia services, add Dyslexia Services as an Instructional Service in the ARD/IEP Process.
Guides to Assist Parents
EdPlan Connect (Parent Portal) allows the parent or guardian to virtually access documents generated in EdPlan as specified by Dallas ISD. Documents may include the childâs IEP document, progress reports, 504 documents (if applicable), and other documents.
When a document is finalized, the parent will receive an email. The Parent Portal Guide walks the parent though the process of accessing their student's documents.
Tips from Maryann & Ley Rita
Maryannđ
The Transfer Meeting and ARD/IEP Process share documents. Finalizing a notice for the Annual ARD before the Transfer Meeting is finalized will cause the date in the Transfer Meeting to change, dates for the Goals will change as well as dates for the Services will change.
