Children are the heart of Imlay!
Dear Imlay Families,
A Message from Mrs. McCalley, Principal
Dear Imlay Families:
What an amazing week! I have heard from numerous teachers about how excited they are to have been able to meet with your student one on one and get to know them a bit better. Students completed both a reading and a math assessment this week. We are so proud of their hard work and perseverance! We will be using the information from the assessments, plus information from their daily class work, to inform instruction moving forward. Your child's teacher will share the information gathered and specific tips with you at Family Conferences in early November
Monday, October 19th, we will be distributing another packet of student materials to ALL Imlay students from 4:00-6:30 p.m. We can't believe it is almost time for our next units of student to begin! This materials pick up will also include a SPECIAL object which will be used in a school-wide contest through the end of October.
Please reach out if you have any questions! 503-844-1090
Together we soar!
Thank you,
Principal McCalley
Child Care Support for Essential Workers
Washington County recently awarded a grant to the Hillsboro School District to support childcare for the children of essential workers, and to support childcare providers as they serve school-aged students—ages 5 to 12—as they access Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) during the school day. We are now able to reimburse families of essential workers and families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic for school-age childcare in licensed facilities. This grant is available through the end of December of 2020.
Below are links to the application, feel free to share this information with other community members that have school age children. Please apply, even if you are unsure that you will qualify for this program. Your application is confidential, and we will support you in the process! If you have any questions, please contact Alma Hernandez at childcareinfo@hsd.k12.or.us
