Photo of the Week: Coming together as a respectful community at our All School Meeting
Dear Families,
It was wonderful seeing so many Floral parents and caregivers at our Curriculum Nights last week. We hope it provided you with a sense about your child's days at school and the ways in which they are engaged in learning throughout the day- academically, socially, and emotionally.
If you were unable to attend, please reach out to your child's teacher for copies of handouts that were provided that night.
At the presentation in the cafeteria, we shared with you about our "Falcon Four" schoolwide values that serve as the anchor to the way in which we "show up" at school. A picture of the Falcon Four is shown below. When everyone's behavior, attitude, and words align with the Falcon Four, we know we are doing our part to make sure Floral is a place where ALL students are able to maximize their learning in a caring, safe place.
As teachers and staff provide feedback to students throughout the year to learn from mistakes, persevere when things get hard, and repair any hurt feelings they may have caused, they will use our Falcon Four as the guideposts for those conversations. We encourage you to use those four core values in your conversations about learning and growing at school, too. That "wrap-around" reinforcement from home and school makes a huge impact on students' progress towards rigorous goals. We are grateful to partner with all of you in this most important job we share.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the PTO meeting this Tuesday (see details below).
Sincerely,
Lisa and Gina

Free and Reduced Price Meal Application—Why Apply?
Although meals are free for all students regardless of income, we encourage families who would otherwise qualify for free or reduced price meals [based upon household income/economic need] to complete the Free/Reduced Price Meal Application so as to potentially be eligible for free or reduced fees for busing, Extended School Care, or athletics. Click here to access that form

Students Must Use the Pin-Pad System
Students must enter their ID number into the pin-pad system in order to receive a free meal and/or purchase an a la carte item. This is how the district documents meals distributed and substantiates our claim for reimbursement from the government.
