Step 1 in preparing for your first day is setting up the accounts. The learning coach/parent should setup their own account first, then setup the student account.

The registration id provided in the welcome email is for the learning coach to setup their account.

If you do not have the laptop yet, you can do all of the setup steps and even attend class sessions from a phone or tablet browser. Just go to login.k12.com

The school day begins at 8:45am Eastern. The first two days will be orientation sessions.
The students will meet with the counselor during the first two days to set up classes.
They can locate the session links on the schedule tab under events.

Please ensure you have completed these tasks.

• Confirm computer and internet connection. Is your computer K12 ready?
• Be sure to charge your laptop daily.
• Always shutdown the computer from the Windows start menu.
• Shutdown and restart the computer weekly to allow for updates.
• Create a distraction-free learning area (this doesn't have to be the perfect location, just a comfortable place where you can focus and work)

New Families

• Setup Learning Coach account and create Student account.
• Let Ms. Ingram know if you need the registration code resent.
• Log in to both Learning Coach and Student accounts
• Check time zone settings
• Set up Office 365 using the student email and OLS password
• Review Student Handbook
• Review the Attendance and Engagement Policy
• Review School Calendar

Welcome to Online Learning course

Students have access to review and complete this course prior to the first day in the "classes" section of your student log in.

Do not wait to start if you do not have books and materials. You are expected to begin on your first day of school and will have many resources available in the online environment.

Class Connect sessions are getting an upgrade! Your student will love the new look and tools in the Engageli classroom experience.
