END OF YEAR RECAP ๐ - Katie Ferree, PTA President
Dear Noble Families and Staff,
As we come to the close of another incredible school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect, express my heartfelt gratitude, and say farewell. After five wonderful years of having a child at Noble, and being actively involved with the PTA, itโs time for me to step away from this chapter - and what a meaningful journey it has been.
First, I want to thank every one of you - our amazing teachers, staff, families, volunteers, and my fellow PTA Board and Committee Chairs. Your support, energy, and generosity have helped us accomplish so much and none of it would have been possible without your involvement.
Just this year, we:
- Reached 358 PTA members - our highest ever!
- Raised nearly $5,000 through the EaglePride Fund, allowing us to purchase four new metal picnic tables for students to enjoy in the shade before school, during recess, and at after school events
- Supported a wide range of student programs and clubs, including Math Counts, Reflections, Battle of the Books, Science Olympiad, and Field Day
- Hosted fall and spring Book Fairs, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Noble Media Center
- Provided over $1,000 in teacher grants and club support
- Supported daily efforts of our EagleWatch, Helping Hands, and Media Center volunteers
- Organized monthly Spirit Nights to build connections and support our Noble/Wilmington community
- Held a monthly Parenting Book Club
- Celebrated our 8th graders with a special 8th Grade Dance
- Promoted awareness during Unity Week, Red Ribbon Week, Safer Internet Day, and Earth Day
- Expressed appreciation through three staff luncheons, holiday Staff Giving Tree (gifts for over 70 staff members!), โLucky to Have Youโ St. Patrickโs Day treats, and stocked the teacher break room monthly
These accomplishments reflect countless hours of hard work, coordination, and generous donations - all for the benefit of our children and school.
To our administrators, teachers, and staff: thank you for your tireless dedication. Supporting you has been an honor, and I hope the PTAโs efforts have made your days a bit easier and brighter.
To our phenomenal PTA Board and Committee Chairs: thank you for your leadership, creativity, early mornings, late-night texts, and passion. Itโs been a privilege to serve alongside you.
As I pass the torch, I do so with a full heart. Iโve learned so much, made lasting friendships, and most importantly, had the chance to create something meaningful for our kids. Iโm confident in the future- knowing that the next leadership team will continue to build on this momentum and bring fresh energy and ideas.
Please stay involved. Whether itโs a few hours a month or just showing up when you canโyour presence matters. Our children are always watching and learning from the way we show up for our community.
Thank you for trusting me with this role, for working together, and for making this year one to remember. I wish you all a joyful summer and continued success in the years ahead.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Katie Ferree
