SouthLake Christian Community,
Celebrating 30 Years of SouthLake Christian: A Year of Reflection and Renewal
As we launched into the 2024-2025 academic year, we enthusiastically commenced a celebratory period marking SouthLake Christian's 30th anniversary! This milestone offers a moment to reflect on the incredible journey of our school, its vision, and the many lives it has touched.
This year brought its own set of challenges and opportunities thus far, including the search for a new Head of School and a visit from Hurricane Helene, but through it all, we remained optimistic and ready to embrace the future.
Our first step in celebrating this special anniversary was a visit from one of SouthLake's original visionaries, Dr. Debbie Hix, who shared with us the inspiring story of how SouthLake came to be. Dr. Hix’s perspective on the founding of the school reminds us of the dedication, faith, and passion that laid the groundwork for all that we are today.
We look forward to continuing the celebration throughout the year with more glimpses into our history, accomplishments, and the many ways we continue to grow and serve our students and families. Thank you for being a part of SouthLake Christian’s story. Here's to 30 years and many more to come!

- JK/K (Ages 3-5 years): Handcrafted gifts and festive cheer
- 1st/2nd (Ages 6-8 years): Small toys and gifts for younger children
- 3rd/4th (Ages 9-11 years): Donations of school supplies and essentials for kids in need
- 5th-8th (Ages 12-14 years): Items for teens in need of support, including clothing and hygiene products
- 9th-12th (Ages 15-18 years): Gift cards to help older teens with their shopping needs
- Staff: Gift cards for parents, to assist families with holiday expenses
This Christmas mission is a wonderful way for all of us—students, staff, and families—to come together in service of others, living out the values of compassion, generosity, and community.
We are excited to see how our collective efforts will make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed, and for those who still wish to participate, we look forward to your support!
