Principal's Message
Thank you RHTA families for a fantastic start of the school year! We have some amazing things planned for your learners this year and we look forward to partnering with you in order to ensure that your child grows academically and socially to meet their full potential! This newsletter has many clubs and opportunities for your learner. All club information will be shared in monthly newsletters this year before they are released on Class Dojo, so check them out! Today the Ohio Department of Education released the school report cards. We are very excited to share ours with you!
PBIS
We Are Ranger STRONG!
What is PBIS?: Positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) is an proactive approach we use to improve school safety and promote positive behavior. When schools react only with punishment, learners don’t learn the skills they need to improve. That’s where positive behavioral interventions and support (PBIS) comes in. Learners will receive explicit instruction, practice, and feedback on the expected behaviors for each school setting.
Learners will be provided incentives and reinforcement for demonstrating expected behaviors.
Learners will receive logical consequences to correct behavior errors.
School teams will meet to review group and individual behavior data in order to ensure consistent implementation and to modify the supports as needed.
Rewards- Learners work toward class and individual rewards. Classes earn stickers on their "Ranger STRONG" chart when they display positive behavior and earn the whole class reward when their chart is full. Learners earn tickets for individually displaying "Ranger STRONG" behavior. Tickets can be used to purchase items at the end of each quarter or they can enter them into monthly raffles. This year we also have an "Anytime Store" for learners to use their tickets for needed school supplies. Check out our morning meeting slides to learn what the raffle prizes are each month.
Monthly Ranger STRONG Assemblies- We will be having monthly Ranger STRONG Assemblies where we celebrate Learner of the Month nominations, reinforce positive behavior expectations and hold our monthly prize drawings. Our first assembly will be on September 19th.

Do you have a concern regarding your child's needs? Any time that you have an academic, behavior, or social emotional concern it is important to discuss this with your child's coach. They see your child daily and are the best person to support any needs. However, there may be times that you want help with an ongoing concern or need additional assistance. Using this form to request assistance will ensure that we are able to properly support your learner and address your concerns.
