2024 Budget Hearings & Mailing
Important Information About Proposed Property Taxes
This year, Iowa law requires the county to notify all residents about upcoming public hearings on the proposed property tax levy. The Board of Education will host two hearings to gather public input on the proposed tax rates.
- The first hearing will be held on Monday, March 25th, during Parent-Teacher Conferences. This is the earliest date allowed by law.
- The second hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 17th, at 6:30 PM, followed by the regular board meeting.
All meetings will be held in the High School Library.
We encourage you to attend these hearings to learn more about the proposed property tax levy and share your thoughts with the Board.
Key points to remember:
- These hearings are your chance to be informed and involved in the property tax decision-making process.
- The meetings will provide details on the proposed tax rates and how they may affect you.
- You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and express your opinions to the Board.
We hope to see you there!
Check out more information on all our meetings on the district's new website "Westwood Board Website."
