Brenda Cline is originally from Pennsylvania. She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she received a BS in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.
Prior to coming to JSU, Brenda worked with KinderCare Learning Centers in Oklahoma as a classroom teacher and Assistant Director, and worked at the OSU Police Department, Parking Division.
After relocating to Jacksonville in 1992, when her husband accepted a faculty position in the Biology Department, she was a stay-at-home mom for several years. Brenda recently completed her 21st year at the Dr. Cynthia H. Harper Child Study Center in the FCS Department, where she has been the classroom teacher for the preschool program. Brenda states, " I love working with preschool age children, providing a nurturing environment for them to begin their formal education. They are so curious and enthusiastic about everything, and that makes the classroom an exciting place to be. I will be transitioning to the 3-year-old class at the new CDC this semester and am looking forward to the new experiences that will offer."
Brenda is married to the late George Cline, and they have two children Katie, who is in a doctoral program at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green Ohio, and Eric, who is in a master’s program at UAH, Huntsville.
In her free time Brenda enjoys cooking and baking and also spending time with family, and friends, including two dogs and several cats.
