Life Skills Program
The successful Life Skills Program is midway through its second session for this school year. Students who participate work with facilitators to set goals, work on employability skills, learn about financial literacy, and more. Meals are provided each week for free for the participating students. The next session will be held at the G.W. Carver Center starting later in the spring.
PBIS Attendance & Grades
This month, the Flagler County Youth Center continued its efforts to promote positive behavior in and out of the classroom. On Monday, March 11th, the Youth Center gave out candy to students who either had perfect attendance or had no disciplinary actions taken against them for the current quarter. Additionally, on Wednesday, March 27th, the Youth Center held its sixth-grade check for the year. Students who had all A’s on their progress report would receive pizza, chips, and a drink. Those who had A’s and B’s would have the choice of two of these options. We hope our students continue to work hard to improve their grades and themselves.
