Thank you to our families who joined us for our virtual scheduling meeting this past Wednesday. We hope it was informational for you and made the course registration process easier to understand. If you missed the virtual meeting, the video is available on YouTube.

This coming Wednesday, the 26th, we will hold an in-person scheduling meeting for students and families, starting at 7:00 pm in our Cafeteria. This meeting will be for any student will attend Lakeview next year, the 25-26 school year. Administrators and counselors will be on hand to answer any questions that come up during the meeting.

Please remember the course registration deadlines: Friday, February 28th for our 8th-graders and Monday, March 3rd for our 7th-graders.

Earlier today, Mrs. Lee's class spent some time with enrichment activities in our Media Center.

Thank you to our PTO for organizing dinner for our staff during parent-teacher conferences this past Tuesday. Our staff was treated to lasagna, salad, and cobbler. We appreciate the support of our PTO!

The 2024-2025 Spring Panorama Survey window will open from March 3rd. If you do not want your child taking the spring survey, please notify us by next Thursday, February 27th. Opt-out forms are linked below.

Reminders: The course registration deadline for our current 7th graders is Monday, March 3rd. The HS course registration deadline for our current 8th graders is Friday, February 28th.

All next week, our counselors will be in the hallways during E/I to answer any questions from students. Students (and families) are also encouraged to email their counselor with any scheduling-related question.

We are still over two months away from spring testing season, but we wanted to share the dates with you so you can mark them down and plan ahead:

April 1st and 2nd: ELA 7 and ELA 8

April 14th-18th: Spring Break

April 24th and 25th: Math 7, Math 8, Algebra 1, & Geometry

April 29th and 30th: Science 8

The athletic website for both PHSN & LJH is now live. Use the https://pickeringtonpanthers.org/ to watch for announcements! All coaches will be using this website for updates and announcements, so please check here if you have any questions. When you go to https://pickeringtonpanthers.org/ you will need to click on "more" and then Final Forms is under "Athletic Registration".

This form will be linked in each Community Corner update, allowing families to offer feedback to the counseling and administrative team regarding social justice, mental health, academic support, friendships/relationships, etc. Counselors and administrators will review the feedback on a weekly basis and send out any updates to concerns/questions in the next Community Corner update.

Two families reached out this week with the same concern: blank summary emails from Google Classroom. Our district is aware of the issue, but it appears to be a larger issue with the platform. We hope there is a fix soon!
